The Admiral's first cousin, William Frecheville was born in Halifax Nova Scotia in 1855 and was professor of mining, a graduate of RSM who had worked on mining sites around the world. William was educated at a technical school in Berlin and the RSM. in 1912 after extensive mining experience in S Africa, India and the US he was appointed professor of mining.
